Phil was a really good guy. He was a strong individual. Once you got through his tough shell, his friendship was unwaivering. He was the kind of guy that you could count on in the heat of battle on the field. He thought it was the funniest thing when I got mowed over during a muddy football game and had cleat prints on the front of my jersey. What a fun guy to be around. I'm proud to have called him my friend.

My best memory of Phil was the beast he was as a pitcher in little league. Damn could he throw the ball hard!! Some of us refered to him as Fireball Phil when we were little. I remember one game he was playing 3rd and I was stealing 3rd base and when I went to slide into the base I cleated him right in the knee..by accident..and he was down. Everyone was scared for my life!! They all thought Phil was gonna pound me into next week. After the game I went to apologize and he was smiling and just talking to me about the play and everything was cool. Like Rick said..once you got through that outer shell he was a great person inside. We miss you Fireball Phil!!

The thing I think of most about Phil was his smile. Being in homeroom with him for so many years, every morning he always had a smile on his face. Even when he was in trouble, he would crack a smile and just laugh. And he was a good wrestler too.I think of him often and I miss that smile!
Gone for now but not forgotten...

I'm shocked we ever survived the rides to school.
He was a trip. He could always make you laugh.
I will always have tons of good memories! He will forever be young.

Phil,
Wow! Phil was a good friend at times. Mike and I had a lot of good times with Phil, On and off the Football field.
I only wish he could have been around longer.
