I graduated from Ball State in 1992 with a teaching degree. I began my teaching career in 1998 at Sugar Grove Elementary in Center Grove. Went back to school and got my Master's degree in 2003. Still teaching at Sugar Grove, in my 13th year.
School Story:
My best buds, Lisa Steffen and Amy Haywood and I decided one night it would be great fun to throw water balloons at passing cars. As we drove down 9th Street we turned one loose and connected with a black car. We were so excited that we'd hit one. Then we noticed the car had turned around and was chasing us. We sped through a neighborhood trying to get away, but when we pulled back out onto 9th, there were two police cars with lights flashing barricading the road. Little did we know that the car we'd hit was BG's chief of police.
